We are proud to share that Community Connect South Shoalhaven, alongside our partners at Business Milton Ulladulla, has been highly commended in the Resilient Australia Community Award (NSW) for our Better Together – Community Connections initiative.
The Resilient Australia Awards celebrate the incredible work happening across the country to make our communities safer, more connected, and better prepared for the challenges of disasters and emergencies.
This recognition is not just for us as an organisation – it belongs to the whole of the South Shoalhaven community. It reflects what is possible when people, groups, and organisations come together with generosity and determination. We are deeply proud of what our community has achieved and continues to achieve by working better together.
We warmly congratulate the winner of the Resilient Australia Community Award, Recovery Connect – Social Futures, a Lismore-based service leading an inspiring and pioneering model of disaster recovery. We also extend our congratulations to Care2Prepare: inclusive household and community risk reduction – Carers NSW, who were also highly commended.
As Minister for Recovery Janelle Saffin said when presenting the awards:
“In the wake of recent disasters, we’ve seen Australians rise to the challenge as individuals, communities and organisations working together to rebuild, support one another and strengthen our resilience. The Resilient Australia Awards are a chance to celebrate these efforts and ensure they don’t go unnoticed.”
At Community Connect South Shoalhaven, we know that resilience is built together. This award reinforces the strength, creativity, and commitment of the South Shoalhaven community—and we couldn’t be prouder to stand alongside you all.
