Supporting mental wellbeing is everyone’s business. At CCSS, we see firsthand the vital role local volunteers play in creating safe, caring spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.
We’re proud to share that, thanks to funding from the Australia Post Community Grant, we can offer two funded places for local community group volunteers to complete accredited Mental Health First Aid training.
This practical course equips volunteers with the skills to recognise when someone may be struggling, respond with confidence and compassion, and connect people to appropriate support. For those already doing meaningful work in our community, this training strengthens your impact and helps “Connect local Thrive together.”
If you’re a volunteer with a local community group and see the value in gaining Mental Health First Aid skills, we’d love to hear from you. This opportunity is open to individuals committed to supporting wellbeing within our community networks.
Together, we can build stronger connections, increase awareness, and ensure no one feels alone when facing mental health challenges.
