Community Expo 2026 brought together more than 119 community groups, organisations and initiatives, alongside over 1,000 visitors from across the South Shoalhaven.
Our Community Expo 2026 Impact Report explores what came out of the event, drawing on feedback from participating organisations and examples of connections and opportunities that emerged throughout the day.
The findings highlight several areas of impact:
- 300+ new connections were reported between participating community organisations.
- 85% of surveyed organisations met another group they may collaborate with in the future.
- 92% of surveyed organisations reported feeling more connected to their community following Expo.
- 98% of surveyed organisations reported visitor interest or enquiries about their services and opportunities.
Beyond the numbers, the report shares examples of how conversations at Expo led to further involvement.
One example comes from MUCK Up, where a 19-year-old university student looking to contribute his event-management skills connected with the group. Within days, he had taken on the role of Stage Manager for their youth talent show.
The report also explores the role young people played in delivering Expo, opportunities for volunteering and participation, and feedback from organisations about what worked well and what could be improved.
