‘Mid South Coast’ is one of ORRCA’s 14 ‘pods’ (rescue teams) along the East Coast of Australia. Our local team responds to incidents between Gerroa/Jervis Bay and Kioloa. Quite a large area so we’re always keen for more people to join our team!
No experience necessary; everyone is welcome to join!
Once you’ve on-boarded in one of our full-day Rescue Training Workshops, you’ll be able to:
– connect with a large group of like-minded ocean lovers and conservationists
– work alongside experienced ORRCA whale, seal, dolphin and dugong rescuers
– be skilled and ready to respond to real-life marine mammals incidents
– confidently educate members of the public and advocate for our marine life
– make a meaningful difference to vulnerable and endangered ocean species
ORRCA is 100% volunteer based not for profit, and we’re the only volunteer wildlife organisation licensed to interact with marine mammals.
