As part of Anti-Poverty Week 2025, the Shoalhaven Anti-Poverty Committee is running the Shoalhaven
Nourish & Nurture Drive from 1 September 2025 to 17 October 2025.
Anti-Poverty Week is from 12 to 18 October 2025. The week supports campaigns to end poverty and to strengthen the understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and hardship around the world and in Australia and to ensure action to address these problems.
The Shoalhaven Nourish & Nurture Drive is seeking donated items to donate to the following
organisations in the Shoalhaven:
– Nowra Community Food Store
– Shoalhaven Homeless Hub/SAHSSI
– Safe Waters Community Care
– Ulladulla & Districts Community Resource Centre
How can you help? You can donate the following items:
Non-Perishable Items*: Hygiene Items:
– Cereal – Deodorant
– Long Life Milk – Sanitary Products
– Biscuits – Hair Brush/comb
– Tea/coffee – Tissues/Toilet Paper
– Pasta – Body Wash/Soap
– Pasta Sauce – Sanitiser
– Muesli Bars/Snacks – Razors
– Tinned Food (Vegetables, Soup) – Toothpaste/Toothbrush
– Tinned Food (spaghetti, baked beans) – Shampoo/Conditioner

– Ulladulla & Districts Community Resource Centre: 78 St Vincent Street, Ulladulla
How you can help?
– Buy an extra item in your grocery shop over the 6 weeks of the drive and donate it!
– Get your workplace, school or community group to contribute to a group donation – make it a
competition to see which area of your work has the biggest contribution!
– Spring clean your pantry and donate any of the items listed above
– Remember that you can contribute and support these organisations all year with your donations.
