A Simple Night Out, Making a Real Difference

Spritz & Glitz is an upcoming fundraiser bringing local women together for a relaxed, feel good night out with purpose.

Held on Friday 15 May at Ocean Vibe in Ulladulla, and supported by Community Bank South Coast, the evening is one not to be missed!

“It will be a lovely evening,” Pauline says. “A chance for women to come along, enjoy themselves, hear from some local speakers and connect.”

For $25, guests will receive a welcome drink, finger food, and a night that moves from discussions into live music and dancing.

“We’ve got a few guest speakers talking about health, financial wellbeing and beauty,” she explains. “Then after that, there’ll be music and dancing… it’ll just be a really nice atmosphere.”

Behind the music and conversation is a deeper purpose. Money raised is used to support and maintain the cancer centre at Milton Hospital and remains local. Funds are also used to assist patients with ongoing medical bills, pharmaceuticals, and groceries as they often lose income while undergoing treatment. There is also a wig service for ladies.

“When the hospital can’t get something through the system, they come to us,” Pauline says. “We just respond to what’s needed.”

For people undergoing treatment at Shoalhaven and Milton Hospitals, it’s often these everyday pressures that can become overwhelming.

It’s this responsive support that sits at the heart of the Foundation’s work where local people are looking after local people in very practical ways.

This year’s Spritz & Glitz event has been made possible through the backing of Community Bank South Coast, who are covering the event costs so that all ticket sales go directly to the Foundation, as well as matching the funds raised from the event.

It’s a strong example of what community investment can look like in action and partnerships that make it easier for small, volunteer-run organisations to keep doing what they do best.

On the night, there’ll also be raffles and fundraising activities, all adding to the overall impact.

“There are only 50 tickets left,” Pauline says. “So come along, enjoy the evening and support this great cause,” she says.

If you’ve been meaning to organise a catch-up, this might be your moment.

Tickets are $25 and include a welcome drink and finger food.

And if you can’t make it on the night, you can still support the work of the Foundation with a donation, helping ensure that, as Pauline puts it, “it all goes back to our local patients.”
