Scouting is the largest youth development organisation in Australia and the world and is a leader in this country’s non-formal education sector. The Scouting Program delivered by Scouts Australia, prepares young people aged 5-25 for business and community leadership. There are currently around 60,000 members in Australia including both males and females. The aim of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of young people so that they take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens, and as a member of their local, national and international communities.
