Help Tell Our Community’s Story: Get involved in our Vital Signs project

Published By

Community Connect South Shoalhaven is inviting locals to be part of an exciting new project that will help us better understand our region and what matters most to the people who live here.

Over the next few months we are working on a Vital Signs project that brings together local data, lived experience and community stories. The goal is to build a clear picture of what is going well and where we can focus future support and resources.

A chance to use your skills or learn new ones
We are looking for people with all kinds of interests and skills. You do not need a formal background, just curiosity and a willingness to get involved.

You might enjoy working with numbers and data, exploring local statistics and reports. Or you might prefer talking with people and helping gather community stories. We also need help turning information into clear writing, simple visuals, or engaging content that others can understand.

What is involved
The project will run over the next 3 to 5 months and focus on themes like wellbeing, connection, young people, and housing.

You could be involved in looking at local and national data, supporting community conversations, helping gather information from local organisations, or assisting with writing, design or communication tasks.

You can take part in one part of the project or a few, depending on your time and interest.

Who can join
This opportunity is open to students, working professionals, retirees, and anyone in the community who is interested.

No experience is needed, just an interest in learning and contributing.

Why get involved
You will have the chance to build new skills, meet others in the community, contribute to a project that will help guide local decisions, and be part of something meaningful for the region.

Join us
If you would like to be involved, we would love to hear from you.
