The Cancer Support Foundation Milton Ulladulla supports people in our community who are undergoing cancer treatment at Milton and Shoalhaven Hospitals. From grocery and pharmacy vouchers to practical help like mowing lawns, their work makes a real difference in the lives of people living with cancer.
Right now, the Foundation is looking for someone to help tell that story. They need a volunteer to manage their social media; posting updates, promoting events like Spritz & Glitz, and sharing the impact of donations with the community.
“This role is really about helping people know we’re here,” Pauline, Events Coordinator, explains. “It’s about making sure our patients, supporters and local community see what we do and how they can help.”
The commitment is flexible, around an hour a week or fortnight, and most of the work can be done from home. You’ll be helping a small team of volunteers connect with the wider Shoalhaven community, making sure the Foundation’s work reaches the people who need it and the supporters who want to give.
“It doesn’t take much,” Pauline says. “Even just posting updates or sharing stories makes a difference. It helps people feel connected, supported, and aware that there’s help available if they need it.”
If you’re social media savvy, enjoy telling stories, or just want to use your skills to make a local difference, this role could be a perfect fit. You’ll be helping the Foundation raise awareness, bring the community together, and ultimately support people when they need it most.
