Breakfast includes: Toasties, Muffins, Fruit Platter, Refreshments & Barissta Coffee.
All Workshops run from 7am – 9am, then attendees are invited to stay from 9am – 9:30am for Q & A and networking.
Workshop 2: Tuesday 22nd November 7am – David Kwasha – Mastering Effective Communication & Active Listening through DiSC Profiling
Effective communication is the most important factor in any organisation’s success. We spend 50% – 75% of every day communicating, yet miscommunication is the number one cause of workplace conflict. Each participant will complete their DiSC profile within the session highlighting each person’s dominant communication style, their “avoidance” style, and empathy levels, followed by looking at how each of the communication styles behave and communicate when under pressure/stress. We will also study active listening in the context of the four DiSC communication profiles.
David’s unique and globally recognised and awarded 30-year career in pharmaceuticals has included over 24 years in senior global and regional biopharmaceutical corporate roles. Committed to making a greater impact and passing on his leadership expertise, he joined in a business partnership in 2019 with Avril Henry, the well-recognized leadership thought leader, author and media commentator, including contributing to her best-selling books, “Tomorrow’s Leaders Today – Breaking Down Generational Barriers at Work” and “Leadership Revelations II – How Australian’s Lead in Crises”, and became CEO of AHAA! (Avril Henry and Associates) in 2020
David is renowned for being the only Australian to have founded two multinational pharmaceutical companies in Australia and Asia Pacific (Actelion and Alexion). He and his teams blazed a trail creating a whole new industry sector in these regions with life-saving and transforming products for ultra-rare diseases. As a leader who desires to make a difference, David was able to lead the creation of two of the most diverse workplaces in the pharmaceutical industry.
Under David’s inclusive leadership, Actelion and Alexion broke numerous industry records over the 20 years he led the companies across the Asia Pacific and North America, whilst at the same time also saving thousands of lives. David’s educational background spans registered nursing and postgraduate qualifications in critical care, marketing, business management, leadership and coaching, which he is now deploying to expand the services and influence of AHAA!
